A Brittany holiday with the children, nothing forgotten
From babies to teenagers, grandparents included: a house by the sea where parents have nothing to plan.
Bring your swimsuits, the rest is here
We opened the house the year Inès, our elder daughter, was born. Everything we needed with our girls, we left there for the families who come after us.

For children
- A room of their own, two cabin beds under the roof
- Games and toys on site
- A garden and two terraces
- The coastal path and the coves on foot
- A swing and a slide
- Children's books
For parents
- Bed linen and towels provided
- Very well equipped kitchen, large table

A floor each, the table in the middle
The house comfortably sleeps two families. On the garden level, two bedrooms and their shower room. On the second floor, the Suite, the children's room and their bathroom. Shared life happens on the first floor, around the big table and on the terrace.
For grandparents, the garden level is the most practical: on the same level as the garden, away from early wake-ups on the second floor.
Things to do around Doëlan, by age
Everything is less than 30 minutes from the house, and plenty is on foot. Details, opening times and our tips are in our activities guide.

Family reviews
The Lodge is very well set up for a family with young children. Suitable toys and furniture. Quality linen and tableware.
The equipment for children and babies is well chosen, and the thought behind it is much appreciated.
We spent a week in this wonderful house and nothing was missing. The kitchen is very well equipped and the house has a lot to offer our young children.
What families ask us
Is the house suitable for a baby?
Yes. Travel cot, high chair, bottle warmer, baby bath, large changing table, stair gates and underfloor heating. Everything is detailed on our page Holidays with a baby.
Can we come as two families or with the grandparents?
Yes, the house was designed for it. Two bedrooms and a shower room on the garden level, two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor: each family has its own floor. Up to 8 guests in total.
Which is the nearest beach for young children?
Les Grands Sables in Le Pouldu and Kerfany-les-Pins, a few minutes by car: two sheltered sandy beaches with lifeguards on summer afternoons in July and August. Our beach guide compares them.
Are there stairs in the house?
Yes, the house is on three floors. Safety gates are provided; with a child who has just started walking, keep an eye on the stairs all the same.
Where can we do the shopping?
The shops in Clohars-Carnoët village are 5 minutes by car, with a market on Saturday mornings. Fresh fish is sold when the boats come in, at the end of Doëlan harbour.
What can we do with the children when it rains?
The Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly in Lorient and its area for ages 2 - 12, the swimming pool in Quimperlé, Pont-Aven and its mills. And the house itself, with its throws and games. See our rainy-day ideas.
Shall we get the house ready for you?
Tell us the children's ages in your request and we will prepare the house accordingly.
